Overview
Brown Bear Lodge is just minutes from the slopes, situated in the small hamlet of Montriond, next to Morzine. We had this chalet built ourselves so it is very close to our hearts and has become a favourite amongst a lot of our repeat guests. For Winter 2022/23 we will be running a Fine Dining Experience at Brown Bear Lodge. We are very excited about this venture and are partnering up with a great chef. In addition, Brown Bear Lodge has just had a make over giving it a more glamourous and luxurious feel, a perfect match for such a gourmet experience and a truly special place for your winter holiday.
This chalet has 7 ensuite bedrooms, sleeping 15-17 guests. On the top floor there are 3 bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 3 guests and one bedroom that can be a double or a twin bedroom, all 4 bedrooms have a balcony and are very spacious. The 3 other rooms are well proportioned twins/double bedrooms. Complimentary luxury toiletries are provided, as are hairdryers, robes & towels. The open plan sitting/dining room has LOTS of comfy sofas centered around the log fire and we are creating a little gin/cocktail bar next to the dining table to add a bit of fun to the proceedings.
The outside terrrace has also been exended and a new hot tub installed and there is a sauna with shower on the lower level.
Location
There is also a free ski bus a short walk from the chalet which takes you to Ardent or into Morzine. Montriond has a couple of lovely bars and restaurants and a ski hire shop which are a short walk from the chalet.

Floor Plans
Brown Bear Lodge has 3 levels. On the ground floor there are 2 ensuite bedrooms, a games room, a sauna/shower room, then storage for skis and boards and heated boots warmers. The first floor has one ensuite bedroom, the open plan dining/sitting room which opens onto the terrace/garden with outdoor hot tub. The second floor has 4 spacious ensuite bedrooms, all with balconies.
Payments
We accept Visa (credit or debit) and Mastercard and do not charge any credit card commission fees. All monies are debited in euros so check with your bank regarding transaction fee. If you do not wish to pay by credit card we will accept a euro bank transfer to our French account, please note we only accept one bank transfer per booking.
A deposit is required at the time of booking which is €200 per person or 25% for Self Catered properties.
Sole Occupancy
The weekly chalet price is based on 14 guests. Each additional person (after the 14th person) is €700 per additional person. Additional children under 2 cost €100 (travel cots and high chairs are provided).

Ski Hire At Brown Bear Lodge
We recommend Ardent Sports whose main shop is situated in Montriond village, just around the corner from the Chalet. They offer a great choice of quality ski rental equipment at competitive prices and you will receive a discount as a Reach4thealps guest whether you order on line before your come or on arrival in resort, staff are helpful. Pre-ordering is recommended for peak weeks such as New Year and February half term.
Book With Ardent Sports
For guests with Morzine-Les Gets only ski passes we recommend Francois Baud Freeride situated at the bottom of Pleney telecabine. They offer a great choice of quality ski rental equipment at competitive prices and you will receive a discount as a Reach4thealps guest whether you pre book online or book in resort on arrival, staff are helpful & there is overnight heated storage for boots & skis so you don’t have to take them back to the Chalet. Pre-ordering is advised during peak weeks, Christmas, New Year and Half terms weeks.
If you would like your equipment delivered to the chalet when you arrive we recommend Doorstep Skis. They offer a great choice of quality ski & board rental equipment at competitive prices and you will receive a 25% discount as a Reach4thealps guest.
Ski Lessons At Brown Bear Lodge
The Portes du Soleil has an excellent selection of ski schools offering a variety of ski lessons including group classes or private lessons for the beginner through to the expert skier or snow boarder. From Brown Bear Lodge you should book beginner lessons either in Morzine from the top of Pleney (Morzine-Les Gets only ski pass required) or with the ESF Montriond at Lindarets (Portes Du Soleil pass required). Intermediate or advanced skiers and boarders fancying some improver lessons can book them in either Morzine or Avoriaz but for Avoriaz you will require a full Portes Du Soleil ski pass. Reach4thealps offer 10% off Morzine-Les Gets & Portes Du Soleil (17th Dec 2022 till 31st March 2023) & then 15% off Portes Du Soleil prices from 1st April 2023 onwards (discounts are based on these prices below). Prices include a hands-free magnetic pass card and are the official internet lift pass prices as published.

Transfers: Brown Bear Lodge
We have our own fleet of 8 seat 4 wheel drive VW mini-buses so can offer you return airport transfers from Geneva (just an hour and a half drive door to door). We can provide free baby and booster seats and ski/snowboard carriage. Our drivers all have at least 2 years professional driving experience and are licensed to pick up and drop off at Geneva airport.
Shared Transfers
• Grouped with passengers off the same flight or flights arriving or departing at similar times
• Max waiting time at airport 60 minutes from when you arrrive at the meeting point in the arrivals hall (we aim for minimal waiting)
• Departure times from resort are normally 3-4 hours before flight departure (weather and traffic conditions dependent)
• Per seat price reduces as number of passengers in the group increases (all arriving and departing together)
Private Transfers (up to 8)
• Only your group in the van
• One simple price per 8-seater van for your journey
• No picking up or dropping off other passengers
