Reach4thealps is a small private chalet company run by Gina and Marcus Ewart. We are both very keen skiers and love the outdoors, after many years of visiting the Alps on holiday and working several seasons doing all the chalet jobs possible from head chef to head loo cleaner we decided to set up on our own.

Last season was our 15th season running Reach4thealps and we now have a portfolio of 9 catered and 6 self-catered properties in the Morzine Les Gets area. All the chalets are of a high standard but what ensures our repeat rate stays high is the level of customer service, high standard of catering we offer along with the help of our staff which is why we need to continue to have motivated, capable and happy staff. Our chalets are highly ranked on TripAdvisor so we need to, as a minimum keep this ranking but ideally improve on these positions every year ! As it is our own business we take great pride in looking after our guests and ensuring they have a fantastic holiday.

Description

We have a great opportunity for a couples or single people looking to stay out in Morzine and Les Gets this summer, working part time mainly at the weekends.

We need a team of 8 each to work 15 hours on average a week during the 14 weeks of the season.

The work will be cleaning of our self-catered apartments and chalets and welcoming guests and being their main point of contact during their stay.

This will be mostly at the weekends (approx 10-12 hours over the weekend and then 3-5 hours during the week, as we sometimes have mid week stay cleans or changeovers out with the weekend). The last 2 weeks of the season will involve deep cleans of the chalets so on these 2 weeks the hours will be considerably higher than the average (but some weeks in the season particularly at the beginning will be a lot lighter than 15 hours so it will all average out). Flexibility is key for us.

The work will involve

Deep clean of self-catered properties at the weekend, making beds.
Organisation of the linen (checking it comes back on time from the laundry company)
Stock control and purchase of cleaning products
Being the guest point of contact for certain properties and meeting and greeting the guests on arrival, giving our multi pass vouchers and giving advice on the property and resort /activities to the guests.
Communicating transfer times to the guests if we are doing their transfers.
Having a good knowledge on the properties the amenities, how heating, fire alarm, dishwashers, etc all work.
Organising your cleaning schedule with the rest of the team by liaising with departing guests.

There is work driving to and from the airport (but this needs someone who has driving experience) and doing maintenance such as cutting grass for anyone who likes doing that sort of work.

The wage will be accommodation (we have a few staff apartments in Morzine and one in Les Gets) in Morzine or Les Gets with all utilities (water and electric) bills and WiFi included and £75 wage per person a week, paid through the Uk system.

Looking for presentable, trustworthy, reliable, hardworking considerate candidates who have cleaning/housekeeping experience and have a nice, friendly, enthusiastic but professional manner for welcoming guests and helping them with any queries and who can use their initiative to organise themselves so that the cleaning gets done thoroughly but quickly. Candidates must be happy working as part of team to share out work and pull together when necessary.
