Nous avons créé Reach4thealps en 2002 et nous disposons actuellement d'un portefeuille de 5 propriétés avec service de restauration (uniquement en hiver) et de 15 propriétés avec service de restauration dans la région de Morzine et des Gets. Tous les chalets sont d'un niveau élevé, mais ce qui garantit que notre taux de répétition reste élevé, c'est le niveau de service à la clientèle et la qualité de la restauration que nous offrons, ainsi que l'aide de notre personnel, ce qui explique pourquoi nous devons continuer à avoir un personnel motivé, compétent et heureux.

Resort Crew
Resort Crew are the heroes of our team – mixing housekeeping, covering in the Catered chalets & upkeeping our self catered properties. Our Resort Crew need to be flexible, hard working and willing to muck in!
The main tasks include cleaning the self-catered properties to our high standards, ensuring hot tub upkeep throughout the week, assisting with mid stay cleans in the catered chalets and stepping in for the Chalet Hosts to cover breakfast on their day off.
Being a Crew member is a great opportunity for those looking for a versatile role but who perhaps don’t have the catering/cheffing experience required to be a full time chalet host.
The Resort Crew work involves the following:
* Doing the changeover cleans, these are long days usually on the weekends.
* Organising the linen and keeping the store rooms tidy and organised.
* Clean & maintain the hot tubs
* Making & distributing kindling and firewood to the properties.
* Having a good knowledge of the self-catered properties & resort.
* Clearing snow & ice
* Diagnose & report any and all maintenance issues timely
* Helping in the catered chalets (breakfast cover, dinner cover, mid stay cleans, slope runs for the guests)
* Assisting the Self Catered Manager with other designated tasks (i.e cleaning vans, shopping for cleaning supplies, delivering lift passes to guests).
We are looking for flexible, trustworthy, hardworking people who have cleaning/housekeeping experience. Some catering experience is desirable (training will be given for both breakfast and evening service for the days you are required to cover). The Resort Crew need to be nice, friendly and enthusiastic with a professional manner for welcoming guests and helping them with any queries. We need those who can use their initiative to organise themselves so that the cleaning gets done thoroughly but quickly. We are searching for applicants who are happy to work as part of a large team and muck in as and where required.
Hours/ Package
- 30 hours a week over 5 days with a competitive monthly salary paid through the French system (in euros)
- All food while working
- Portes Du Soleil ski pass
- Ski/board hire for the season

- Return transfers from Geneva (pick up at start of season and drop off at the end)
- There are 2 days off a week and 2.5 holiday/sick days per month that will be paid at the end of the season
- Reach4thealps will also organise and pay for team events in the season, typically night sledging, cross country skiing and or a meal in a mountain restaurant, an important way to say thanks and to come together as a team and just have fun!
- We also have high standard, well located accommodation that is available for rent though our sister company at a lower rate than the market average.
Successful applicants will join us for our training course commencing in early December. Reach4thealps will pay for the costs of the training provided by trained chefs & our management team.

Chalet Host
We are looking to recruit three Chalet Hosts for our two brand new catered chalets, Chalet Piste Noire (sleeps 8-10) and Chalet Piste Rouge (sleeps 8). These are two chalets in the same building that we run with a team of three staff.
You will work closely with each other sharing the cooking, hosting and cleaning – this is a great opportunity for single applicants who want to be part of a small team.
It is ESSENTIAL that you have previous cooking experience, whether it is cooking in a restaurant or hotel environment or having been a Chalet Host previously (where cooking rather than assisting a chef was required). The role requires someone who gets on well with people from all walks of life, can cook to a high standard, is well organised, takes pride in doing the job properly with great attention to detail, has a lot of energy and can work as part of a team.
You will be required to provide breakfast with a daily cooked option, a cake for afternoon tea, hot and cold canapes and a 3-course evening meal. You will also clean the chalet daily and deep clean the chalet on the day of departure/arrival of the guests. In addition, there will be some weeks when we have guests staying for short breaks and the chalet will need to be changed over mid-week.
A Typical Day of a Chalet Host
Morning:
- Lay out continental breakfast & cook the daily hot option to order
- Make beds, clean bathrooms & empty bins
- General tidy up, vacuum communal living areas & mop the floors
- Check the hot tub
- Prepare & lay out afternoon tea
- Prepare for the evening meal
Afternoon – ski!
Evening:
- Clear away afternoon tea
- Cook & serve children’s meals if required
- Prepare & serve canapes & three course dinner, followed by cheese & coffee
- Clean and tidy the kitchen
- Lay table for breakfast
- Take the bins out
Standard weekly tasks
- Put laundry out for collection, put away clean laundry
- Stock take and complete online food orders, weekly supermarket shop
- Mid-week towel change for all rooms
- Changeover all bedrooms & clean communal areas (every Sunday with some mid-week changeovers)
- Take care of guest requests, questions & problems
- Additional preparation for staff days off
What kind of people are we looking for?
Essential:
Previous cooking experience, whether it is cooking in a restaurant or hotel environment or having been a Chalet Host previously (where cooking rather than assisting a chef was required)
The ability to work well within a small team
You also need to:
- Be hard working & have stamina
- Be well organised and be good at managing your time
- Be outgoing and enjoy dealing with people
- Be a cheery person with a positive attitude

Chalet Helper/Driver
We are looking to recruit a chalet helper & airport driver to be based at our largest catered chalet, Cairn Lodge.
Due to regulations in Switzerland and French employment rules we can only employ:
EU passport holders
OR
British passport holders/other nationalities with French residency (a Titre De Sejour, which allows them to work in France ) and who can prove they have been working in France for the last 12 months.
AND in addition to one of the above:
You will also need to have 2 years professional driving experience. This can be transporting people or goods or even just using a company car for the purpose of work. We need letters from previous employers to justify this. The total amount of experience needs to add up to 2 years driving experience within the last 10 years.
Key responsibilities:
- General help in the chalet (help laying the table, cleaning, hot tub checks, snow clearing etc)
- Transportation of guests to and from the slopes in the morning and afternoons
- Occasional airport transfers (1 – 2 a week)
Our in resort service involves shuttling the guests from the chalet to the slopes in the mornings from 8.30 to 10.00 & afternoon pick ups from the slopes from 3.30pm onwards. You will need to be organised to ensure the service runs as smoothly as possible for our guests.
A Typical Day
Morning:
- Help hosts lay out & serve breakfast
- Check hot tub & add chemicals/water if needed
- Defrost van, clear snow
- Restock honesty bar
- Clean fire, set new fire
- Run guests to the slopes and/or ski hire shop
- Update guests with weather/ski conditions
- Clean communal areas in chalet
Evening:
- Pick up guests from slopes/town from 15:30 onwards
- Assist with serving aperitif & canapes, three course dinner followed by cheese & coffee
- Organise & serve wine
- Help hosts wash and tidy up, clean kitchen
- Help hosts lay table for breakfast
Standard weekly tasks
- Refuel & clean van, check oil/ washer fluid
- Complete driver/van report
- Communicate transfer times to guests day before departure
- Take guests to ski hire shop, assist in the shop
- Hand out ski passes, collect back used passes
- Manage guest requests, questions
- Airport transfers (on average 3 a week)
- Pick up the shopping for the hosts
What kind of person are we looking for?

Assistant Resort Manager, Winter 2025/26
You will work closely with our Resort Manager and office team to focus on the quality of service delivered by our team and to maintain the Reach4thealps high standards in service across our catered and self catered properties in Morzine.
As a result, the position is very diverse encompassing guest relations, staff management, monitoring standards of cleanliness and the delivery of our set menu in both quality and presentation of our food.
With a big focus being on the catered service it is essential that the candidate is an experienced and capable cook (having ideally worked as a chalet host before) to be able to stand in for a chalet host in the event of illness or injury.
You will be expected to work long days on the weekends to ensure the changeovers are completed, cleaning checks are done and guests are welcomed face to face. During the week, you will be able to work split shifts to match the chalet hosts working hours.
We are searching for an experienced chalet host who is flexible and willing to muck in with the entire team to provide support. This role is ideal for someone who would like to take on more responsiblity in this rewarding career path! The responsibilities below are a comprehensive list to be split between our two managers to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities alongside the Resort Manager:
– Conduct thorough inspections post-cleaning to guarantee that all chalets and apartments meet our rigorous cleanliness standards during both changeover and mid-stay cleans.
– Actively support and participate in the cleaning processes with the housekeeping team.
– Be present at breakfast and dinner service to ensure that the chalet hosts are delivering the menu to the expected standard.
– Check staff are complying with good food hygiene practise and that food is properly stored and rotated.
– Serve as the primary communication link between the office staff and the wider team.
– Manage the timely dispatch and return of linens and towels to and from laundry services.
– Maintain well-stocked cleaning, food & wine supplies.
– Collaborate with the Operations Manager to organise weekly staff rotas.
– Welcome guests upon arrival, providing detailed information about the resort and accommodations.
– Work alongside the maintenance team to ensure all chalets are in excellent condition.
– Support the chalet hosts in their stock taking and shopping planning/ordering.
– Monitor spending in the catered chalets & we are within budget.
Guest Relations Specific Responsibilities:
– Visit the catered chalets and spend time with the guests to ensure that they are happy and their expectations are being met by the chalet team and also that they feel valued (we have many repeat guests).
– Remain accessible to self catered guests throughout their stay, addressing any concerns and managing complaints (this is usually via Whatsapp).
– Deal with any complaints with the aim being that issues are quickly resolved so guests can enjoy the rest of their holiday.
– Keep staff & therefore guests well informed of all events and updated on any relevant information, carrying out any requests (such as booking activities, booking restaurants etc) and helping to make their stay the best holiday experience.
– Be aware of any special guest requirements; extra beds, cots, high chairs, baby seats, dietary requirements etc. and ensure that chalet staff know about these.
– Have good in resort knowledge of restaurants, ski area, ski hire, ski passes, snow shoe routes etc
Essential Attributes:
Have done at least one season before as a chalet host
Have professional cooking experience (i.e. you were the main cook as a chalet host, rather than assisting a chef or you have worked in a professional kitchen)
