Enquire For A Winter Holiday

Children’s activities

Morzine and Les Gets are the perfect places for a family holiday. Not only do both resorts have amazing facilities for family skiing but they also have loads of additional activities for the children to get involved in. If you’re staying in one of our catered chalets, don’t hesitate to ask your chalet hosts for advice and information or to help you book you activities if you spot something you’d like to try.

Morzine is home to a large swimming pool complex. In the winter, this fantastic facility boasts a large indoor pool, two children’s splash pools and a luxury pamper suite where you can enjoy the sauna or steam room. If the children need a break from the slopes, or the weather is bad, then this is a great place to head if you’re looking for something a little different to do.

There’s also a number of fun activities to get involved in in the centre of Morzine. The little train and the carousel are firm favourites with the younger children whilst the older kids will find there’s always something fun going on in the tourist office square. The whole family will also love a horse drawn carriage ride round the old town- if you’re lucky you’ll get the singing driver! There’s both indoor and outdoor ice rinks for recreational skating but also competitive Ice Hockey matches. If there’s a match on when you’re here make sure you go and watch, its noisy, lively and something the whole family can enjoy. Head to the base of the Pleney mountain if you fancy doing some sledging, parents can enjoy a glass of wine in one of the many lively bars whilst the children have fun in the snow!

If the weather is bad and you fancy hiding away for a few hours the cinema in the centre of Morzine often has showings of children’s films in the day. Check out the timetable target=”new” to find out when the English versions are playing or there will be plenty to choose from if you fancy giving the French versions a go.

Les Gets is also a great family friendly resort. It has some of the best and most easily accessible nursery slopes along with some great activities for those looking for a break from the slopes.

In the centre of town you’ll find the outdoor ice skating rink which is always buzzing with people of all ages. Little plastic penguins make it possible for small children to give it a go whilst adults can also enjoy finding their feet on the ice! Les Gets also has its own “little train” which is always popular with the smaller children. Like Morzine, the tourist office in Les Gets is great for arranging themed events and activities so keep an eye out for what’s going on when you’re in town.

There’s some great sledging areas in Les Gets as well. You’ll find a dedicated sledging piste at the bottom of the Chavannes telecabine for some family sledging but also some steeper runs for the older children. If you want a day off from skiing but still want to enjoy the snow, there are some great places to go snow shoeing and walking as a family in Les Gets. The area around Mont Caly and Mont Chery is great for a quiet explore.

If the weather is bad, there’s a couple of indoor activities available in Les Gets. There’s a small bowling bar which is great for avoiding the rain or heavy snow, or, if you like a bit of culture, why not pop to the mechanical music museum and learn a little bit about the musical history of Les Gets!
