Rock the Pistes Festival takes place across the Portes du Soleil every year on the 3rd weekend of March. This unique open-air festival brings incredible acts and performances to the slopes throughout the week at different locations across the Portes du Soleil.

Rock the Pistes is widely regarded as the pioneer of high-altitude music festivals. For over a decade, this iconic event has brought live music and a vibrant festival atmosphere to the Portes du Soleil. Designed as the ultimate après-ski experience, the festival transforms the slopes with temporary open-air stages that appear piste-side across the resort. Open to anyone with a lift pass, Rock the Pistes combines sunny spring skiing with performances from an exciting mix of French and international rock artists, creating a truly unforgettable alpine festival atmosphere.

Practical Information
Schedule:
Concerts typically take place each afternoon from around 1 pm – 3 pm on different slopes across the Portes du Soleil, followed by après-ski concerts and entertainment in the resort villages throughout the evening.
Access:
Main concert stages are only accessible via the ski lifts and pistes of the Portes du Soleil ski area. Après-ski events and village concerts are open and easily accessible within the resorts.
Getting there:
Morzine is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Geneva Airport by transfer or car. Access to Avoriaz is via Super Morzine and the Prodains cable car, or mountain road. Access to Les Gets by Shuttle bus or via Pleney Gondola. Shuttle buses operate throughout the area during the festival week.
