Pass’Portes du Soleil MTB

26–28 Jun 2026
Morzine

Pass'Portes du Soleil is the signature MTB event of the Portes du Soleil, designed as a one-day ride through the Franco-Swiss mountain domain. Rather than a conventional race, it is presented as a series of day rides with several formats, including MTB, eMTB, gravel, walking and kids' routes.

Dates: 26, 27 and 28 June 2026

Location: Portes du Soleil, France and Switzerland, with the main salon in Avoriaz

What is Pass'Portes du Soleil?

A three-day mountain bike event across the Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil, combining one-day rides, lift-assisted descending, local food stops and a large MTB show in Avoriaz. What sets the event apart is its mix of riding and destination experience. Participants choose their preferred day and departure resort, then travel through high mountain scenery with regular food stops showcasing local produce. Alongside the ride, Avoriaz hosts the event salon across the same weekend, adding bike brand displays and test opportunities on nearby sectors, including Proclou and Super-Morzine.

The main MTB route is the best-known format. It links resorts on both sides of the border, using lifts to favour descending and keep the physical effort manageable across a long alpine day.

The main Pass'Portes du Soleil MTB route is a long-distance alpine circuit with a strongly descending profile. The route covers 89 km, with 1,000 m of climbing and 6,000 m of descent, supported by 11 lifts. This format suits riders who want a full day in the mountains without the feel of an enduro race. The route is designed to balance effort and enjoyment, with lift access helping riders cover a large cross-border area in a single day.

Feed stations are a central part of the experience. Six stops are included along the MTB route, adding a distinctly local flavour to the day as well as regular breaks between riding sections.
