The Lets Gets World cup hosts XCC, DHI and XCO events

A Cross Country short track event. These short and intense races are really exciting for spectators. Riders race all-out for a series of laps of a 1km or 1.5km circuit to determine their position in the main XCO race. It is a tactical race with big efforts conserved for explosive final laps to break the field apart.

The XCC race will take place on Friday 21st August.

In the Downhill Individual event, riders take on the course one at a time, racing against the clock in pursuit of the fastest descent. Success requires the perfect balance of speed, power, precision, skill, and bravery as competitors navigate technical terrain at high speed. With no margin for error, the battle for the podium is often decided by mere fractions of a second.

The DHI race will take place on Saturday 22 August

The Cross Country Olympic event is the Olympic format for mountain biking. Riders begin simultaneously in a mass start and race multiple laps of a dirt circuit, typically ranging from 4 to 10 km. A rider's starting position is based on the XCC race. The course usually features substantial climbs, technical descents, and mostly forest or dirt trails with obstacles.

What is the scoring system?

The UCI (International Cycling Union) is the governing body of cycling. They organise the rounds of the World Cup series races that happen all over the world, including Les Gets, a favourite amongst fans and riders.

The World Cup uses a points system for scoring. Points are won throughout the competition by the riders who position in the top-38 of a World Cup race. The athlete with the most overall points at the end of the series will win the overall World Cup title.

Keep an eye out for the rider in the special white jersey. The equivalent of the Tour de France yellow jersey, the white jersey is worn by the current leader in the series.
